Pelvic health encompasses a wide range of disorders and dysfunction including bowel and bladder health, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, and treatment for imbalances associated with cancers of the pelvic region. Issues with incontinence of bowel and/or bladder, constipation, urgency and retention are seen in all ages. Oftentimes these issues can be improved or corrected with activities to address muscle and skeletal imbalances. A physical therapist trained in pelvic health can perform an evaluation and design a program specific to your needs. Canyon Therapy’s pelvic health physical therapist has obtained a certificate of achievement in pelvic health (CAPP-Pelvic), a comprehensive education program with evidence based training that involves written and clinical testing with each level. This is followed by a case report submitted to the CAPP Case Reflection Committee for final approval and awarding of the certification. The pelvic health program at Canyon Therapy is able to evaluate and treat all ages and genders for pelvic health issues.
